As its levels drop, you might experience not just physical changes, but emotional ones too. Progesterone, on the other hand, has been keeping your menstrual cycle in rhythm and supporting pregnancy. Its reduction can lead to irregular periods and can affect your sleep and mood. Understanding these impacts provides a blueprint for navigating menopause with more ease and less distress.

Coping with these hormonal fluctuations requires a multifaceted approach, combining diet, lifestyle, and possibly medical interventions. From a dietary perspective, focus on nutrient-rich foods that support hormonal balance and bone health – think leafy greens, fatty fish, and fermented foods rich in probiotics.
